Do my perfect jeans exist? Anywhere??

Bloody Topshop has stopped selling my favourite bootcut jeans - everything's skinny, super-skinny or even-skinnier-than-that.

I have no hips or bum to speak of, and really thin legs so Topshop (who specialise in making clothes for people who don't have pubes yet let alone curves) WERE perfect for jeans but not any more.

My other failsafe WAS Gap but for some reason today everything was baggy on the arse, and the smallest size doesn't come long enough.

What I want is this:

  • Very dark blue
  • Well fitted at the bum and skinny down the thighs
  • Bootcut or flared
  • 34" long
  • Preferably not more than £80-ish

Unfortunately I hate shopping and stomped home in a huff today rather than steel myself and head for the rest of Oxford Street.

Is there anyone out there who has more shopping stamina than me and can recommend a brand - or even more brilliantly - a brand AND a style? I will love you forever and send you large supplies of virtual thank-you cake Grin.

I just bought the new Levis and love them. They come in 3 fits - slight curve, demi curve & bold curve in either skinny boot or skinny.

Worth a look. Mine fit like a glove.

sandytoes79 · 20/10/2010 20:51

Just about to say the same re. Levis as they fit your budget (they are £80) and come in a skinny bootcut and go up to 34 inch leg.

You go in store and get measured and they tell you which fit you are ( as Ganard listed above).

Here's the website to tell you more if you click on Curve ID link.

I have heard very good things about them!

RipMacWinkle · 20/10/2010 20:52

I'm sorry.

This is as helpful as a chocolate fireplace.

I just have to say.

34 inch leg Envy

SecondToughestInTheInfants · 21/10/2010 16:44

Thank you so much, Granard and Sandytoes, I will head for the Levis shop ASAP!

*RipMacWinkle", please don't be jealous. I have some very high heels I want to wear with the jeans - I'm only 5'6"!

You could try Zara. They do very long trousers (I wear a 32 or 34 and have had to take up my Zara jeans) and they suit women without hips and big bums.

I'm a convert to Nudie jeans. Have a look on line for them-they're usually about £90 but some places do them cheaper. They stretch a lot too so you probably want to size down.

monkeysmama · 21/10/2010 17:09

Look for the dark rinse Nudie Starcy bootcut. Lovely quality. My-wardrobe had some in stock. Perfect high heels jeans.

MrsC2010 · 21/10/2010 20:19

You have just described exactly what I'm looking for OP!

KenDoddsDadsZombieDogsNotDead · 21/10/2010 20:24

I am looking for the same too!

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 21/10/2010 20:26

"no hips or bum to speak of" [henvy]

do you want some of mine? i have plenty to spare before i get anywhere near skinny jeans!

SecondToughestInTheInfants · 24/10/2010 08:50

Thank you, monkeysmama, I'll look for Nudie as well.

I took a punt and ordered some skinny bootcuts from ASOS (ASOS own brand) and they seem OK for now - only £28 so even if they die after a few washes it won't be a disaster.
