Bumping for you because I also need tops and always end up buying skirts. So I have lots of skirts but no tops to wear with them.

What kind of things are you after and do you have nork issues?

navyeyelasH · 20/10/2010 18:00

and two of these www.dorothyperkins.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33053&storeId=12552&productId=1924474&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=208654&parent_categoryId=208600&sort_field=Relevance&pageSize=20 in mink and navy and i have to say concidering there cheepy's i really like them they have washed well to they are nice and soft and the rouching on the sleeves is noticble enought to make a statement but not ott also like the ribbed arms and they sit nice around the tummy not to tight but not shapeless so i would recomend hope that helps

I get thin tops to go under dresses from Uniqlo Heattech (cheap too)
and tops to wear by themselves from Jigsaw.

I too keep getting distracted by the dresses

MrsC2010 · 20/10/2010 20:02

I'm the other way round, I never end up with anything to wear on my bottom!

I just got these though, Boden...sorry!

this in navy

this in white

With the 15% off obviously!

Meggles76 · 20/10/2010 20:11

I second Boden for tops. Got the Essential V neck top in yellow, rose and petrol. They are great under things or on their own with jeans / denim skirt etc..

carriedababi · 20/10/2010 20:14

thanks for repliesSmile

mrsc i got that knot front also in navy but i find its a bit baggy under the knot do you?
i should have really sent it back for a smaller size, but im so lazy with these sort of things!
i just kept it

oh yes i like the dp mink jumper.
i like the v necks polos don;'t really suit me.

childrenofthecornsilk · 20/10/2010 20:17

carrie you shopaholic!

MrsC2010 · 20/10/2010 20:18

Yeah, it is a little. I was just fed up with having nothing nice, but casual if you see what I mean? So I kept it too!

Needanewname · 20/10/2010 20:20

OP what you need to do is go shopping for dresses then you will find loads of tops!

If ever you need a new pair of shoes, go shopping for some jeans - works every time for me!

carriedababi · 20/10/2010 20:28

did you see my post about me getting that coat and scaft corny!

yes thats exactly what i want mrsc

OP posts:
Needanewname · 20/10/2010 23:38

Yeah sure Grin

WhatsWrongWithYou · 20/10/2010 23:53

If you want l/sleeved vest tops Miss Selfridge has these for a tenner - I'm sure not as good quality as the IO ones but I resent paying £40 for something I'll just use as a layer. H&M also have plain ones for £7.99.

I'm also the opposite as I easily find tops but struggle with bottoms - or I'll have skirts and trousers unworn for lack of shoes to go with. Think I'm just not dedicated enough.

carriedababi · 21/10/2010 21:17

thanks for the link, yes ilike that
