Should I be buying patterned or coloured tights this season?

I loved the coloured ones last year, but saw a girl in fab kind of knitted ones yesterday...and now I want some like those...

Do I chuck out last years? Are they beyond the pale? Or should I wear them with pride?

I like the chunkier ones, topshop have some lovely wooly ribbed ones (wash lovely) but also lots of coloured tights around too. The wooly ones are much warmer obv, and look nice with little shoes and dresses for a cold day.

Problem is I'm 6'2" so need verrrry long tights! Topshop don't come close, sadly...M&S are best, perhaps I need to beetle off over there sometime this weekend and have a looksee.

Good to know about the warmth, I'd not thought of that and tis very cold and going to get colder.

By coloured are we thinking lots of colours or just one?

One block colour CotCS - don't want stripy legs!

I have yet to see this -sounds a bit Mary Quant. I'm still in last year's opaques.I've washed 'em though.

I'm definitely not thinking of the lacey ones, I've not got the legs for those!
