BelligerentGhoul · 20/10/2010 21:07

Lots of lovely sounding outfits here.

I totally let the side down today -

black cigarette leg trousers;
black t-shirt;
black cropped military jacket;
black shoes.

happilyeverafter · 20/10/2010 21:13

BG - that sounds cool, where are your cigarette legs from?

BelligerentGhoul · 20/10/2010 21:14

Only M&S, so not really cool! Blush

happilyeverafter · 20/10/2010 21:18

Thanks, I like M&S but I'm def not cool! Am ordering boots from there as we speak..

BelligerentGhoul · 20/10/2010 21:19

Do you want me to try and find and link them?

happilyeverafter · 20/10/2010 21:21

Oh please do, I will hold off on checking out!

All the ones I've tried have been too snug on thighs or ankle grazers. I want a full length classic cut one if yours fit that description?

BelligerentGhoul · 20/10/2010 21:24

Here I either roll them up once and wear with flats, or wear them full length (and v slightly too long) with heels. I really, really like them. I see they do them in grey too, so think I might try and get those as well.

happilyeverafter · 20/10/2010 21:29

Thanks, I would have been put off by zips but think they might be what I'm looking for. Longer length is OOS in 12, did you take your usual size/length?

ivykaty44 · 20/10/2010 21:30

black trousers, black top

I wantwed to wear black as it is a gloom day

BelligerentGhoul · 20/10/2010 21:34

IvyKaty - yes, a gloom day is about right. Sadly, every work day feels like a gloom day lately. To quote the great Moz - 'I wear black on the outside becuase black is how I feel on the inside.'

Happily - the zips are quite cute but tbh my top usually covers them anyway. I am a short arse so bought a 12 short. They are a bit big on the waist but good on the hips (am an hour glass).

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 20/10/2010 21:40

teal Smedley jumper
fine check wide legged trousers in varying shades of beige/brown
purple ugg-like slippers

I was wearing a white shirt under the jumper and brown Clarks maryjanes earlier in the day (was at work), but no need of those when I am slobbing on the sofa.

I also wore a jacket that had yoghurt all over it Blush Thanks DS!

happilyeverafter · 20/10/2010 21:42

Thanks BG Just checked out the sizing and I need the 12L. Do you think these are the same as in stock.

BelligerentGhoul · 20/10/2010 21:44

They don't look quite as nice to me tbh - more like normal 'work' trousers, whereas the others could be worn at weekends too, I think, without looking overly stuffy.

icapturethecastle · 20/10/2010 21:53

Smedley - I love. I had a Smedley polo shirt once and it disappeared - I paid a small fortune for it I wonder where it is? I love reading these threads but I always feel I must be the least stylish person on mumsnet (currently sitting in my flannelette pjs eating a peanut butter sandwich and half watching the apprentice)

lucykate · 20/10/2010 22:00

skinny jeans
navy long sleeved t-shirt
blue tunic
slipper boots

lou33 · 20/10/2010 22:05

dark grey woollen polo neck mini dress with grey tights and flat black over the knee boots (folded down)

Paribus · 21/10/2010 09:25

icapturethecastle, there's smedly sale on brandalley now, sweaters cost about 50 punds, if u need.

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 21/10/2010 09:31

icapturethecastle, you sound like my kind of person Grin Peanut butter sarnies and pjs? Yes please.

If you're anywhere near Matlock, Smedley also have a factory shop where stuff is much cheaper. This is the only reason DH and I own anything of theirs Grin

Paribus · 21/10/2010 09:42

fumblemummy · 21/10/2010 09:55
