What to do with my vintage gown?

I bought a gorgeous vintage gown about 5 yrs ago for a charity ball. Haven't worn it since.

It's full-on, long skirt, decollete, beautiful colours, sort of shimmery brocade in pinks and greens, rose print. Guessing late 50s/ early 60s.

The outside of the gown is in perfect condition. However its innards need attention. I did a temporary fix on the (steel) boning at the time but it is not in mint condition and I haven't got the skills to re-line it. I live near Edinburgh. I have lost weight and it wouldn't fit me now.

It has a "Frank Usher" label but I am not sure if that is authentic - it looks sewn-in.
Any suggestions about my prospects for selling it? How should I go about it?

Ebay seems the obvious solution- just describe the condition properly. Have you got a picture?

I am a bit worried that ebayers would buy it and then change their mind when they saw the condition of the inside. I suppose I could include a pic of the relevant bits to make it clear.

Would I be better off getting it fixed first (say by a dressmaker) or is it unlikely to be worth the money?
