I LOVE M & S!!

Sorry, this is probably terribly controversial but I've just returned from a fab shopping trip to M & S. I suppose it's my size (22) Blush but my options are severely limited on the High Street. Before anyone asks, I didn't purchase any of the lurid Per Una items - just basic tops and trousers...... although I did buy some amazing comfortable treggings which I'll wear to death with long tunics!! I'll waut for the onslaught...............

I love M&S too.... for food!!!

LC200 · 19/10/2010 20:32

I have some nice stuff from M&S. I am often getting asked where it's from and get a Shock face.

Also I like it because I buy one size smaller than anywhere else there ;)

I bought this dress and love it.

trumpton · 20/10/2010 08:07

I think they have really upped the clothes recently . Some really good shapes. I love that dress teej but I am on a "no more black". Grin

mrspink27 · 20/10/2010 09:50

I love that dress, but need a deeper neckline!

Dracschick · 20/10/2010 09:53

I think im one a very few ...in being under 40 and liking some of the per una stuff

tefal · 20/10/2010 10:11

I am not keen on per una but I do like their Autograph stuff. I've got lots of shoes and boots over the last year or so and today I am wearing a check shirt which is lovely!

They do good knits too

OhBuggerandArse · 20/10/2010 10:18

Pity about their support for the illegal occupation of Palestine, though.

joliejolie · 20/10/2010 12:20

I love the Autograph dresses this year and have bought five. They are just simple, comfy and really nice.

blossoming · 20/10/2010 13:28

Today I am wearing:
this dress, comes to above the knee in RL.
these jeggings in indigo
And for outside, a grey cashmere beret, which I can't find to link to.

doglover · 20/10/2010 14:33

I'm not the only one!!! I expected to return to torrents of abuse and it's very refreshing to see some positive remarks!!

As another 22, have to agree with you doglover that M and S now have some good basics. Only a few years ago there was virtually zero choice in 22, except for the truly dire 'Plus' range so, though they often infuriate me, have to admit some progress has been made.

You do still have to search hard - much is incredibly naff and M and S seldom get the fashion rule that 'less is [usually] more'.
I combine a regular check of Marble Arch and online.

Autograph is also my favourite range, joliejolie, - have bought 4 of their 'dresses' this autumn, which I'm wearing as tunics.

joliejolie · 20/10/2010 16:41

I have that purple dress too blossoming. Also have the same style in navy/grey striped short sleeve. Very flattering style...at least I think so! :)

BelligerentGhoul · 20/10/2010 17:57

I like that purple one and the grey stripey one but they are far too long for me and looked hideous for that reason. Such a shame as they are a nice shape and v good price.

Annem1 · 20/10/2010 18:38

I am under 40 and like some of the per una stuff too thought I was alone on that one. I like m&s for basics and undies.

GertrudetheDog · 20/10/2010 19:17

I like their shoes and food especially Percy Pigs.

isel · 20/10/2010 21:10

I love their footglove ballet pumps, just the comfiest nice-looking shoes around!

And I think their knitted dresses and big cardigans this season are v cute

Not so keen on per una though (in my 30s)
