Help:on lookout for cosy jumpers

I need a new wardrobe.Had second dc 6 months ago and have nothing to wear. Was in maternity last winter and all my other stuff is old, from before 3yr old was born. I know i will mainly be in jeans and boots but fancy some stylish winter tops and jumpers.
Am looking online (boden, fatface, whitestuff) but can't find anything I like. I really feel the cold and they all seem quite lightweight.
please does anyone have any suggestions?

I have just been boring (I imagine) everyone on a different thread about this.

Cashmere, cashmere/merino. I made a twinset out of two of them - round necked short sleeved jumper and a v-neck cardi, bright blue.

Also a fan of plain v-necks with uniqlo heat tech turtleneck underneath

Celtic sheepskin have lots of warm jumpers. Gap have had some good cashmere too. Nobody in boden etc life ever feels the cold that I can see. I think trend at moment is to layer up though so you will see mainly thin knitwear.

I got two FAB cosy lambswool/cashmere jumpers in Jigsaw at the weekend, both with a loose roll neck - they are really cosy and soooo easy to wear. Hark at the price, though - a whopping £76 each and ONLY purchased as I was fortunate enough to have vouchers for my birthday! V boring to buy two the same but, like you say, it is hard to find anything that fits the bill, and when one does ...

I bought this recently, and although it is thin, it's amazingly warm and great for throwing on over things. I've had a few compliments on it too:

this one is nice and cosy. they had it in other colours in-store, the navy one was on sale for 40 pounds, but can't see it on the site....

Hi everyone. Thank you so much for all your help and suggestions. This is my very first post and I am amazed at how all my problems (well jumper ones at least) are sorted.Think my problem will now be narrowing down the choice!

Accesorize I agree with you. For me to do layering I'm going to have to start with a damart vest if they still exist - not the look I was hoping for!Also, I thought the layered look may work out more expensive- just seems like you have to buy loads. I bought some longsleeved vneck ts from Gap about 4yrs ago which were brill for layering. They were a good tight fit on the sleeves. I've just put them out (stretched through wear and kids tugging) and can't find replacements. Not seen them in Gap since.

Odeto I'd forgotten all about Jigsaw - used to shop there when I worked and had noone else to spend £ on!

mimmit, I agree with you! I like the idea but I buy/own very few clothes, little time to shop even online. For cheap under layers, try the heat tech stuff fro uniqlo that cruella linked to before. Everybody raves about them! I believe Toast also have some good things like this. If I go on thinking and not buying, I'll still be cold come november.

Hi accessorize.Think that is my problem too.Little time to think, shop or buy so what I do end up with is often a hurried choice which I end up regretting.
Have just been looking at celtic sheepskin link. hadn't heard of them before. Fallen on love with some of their stuff but will have to wait for more of it to go into sale.
Will give uniqlo a go. Just been looking at FandF too-nice stuff and well proced. Never bought anything from there before but had a friend who used it loads and she always lookked really good. Mind you, she didn't have 2 kids to snot on her and keep her awake!

Kew has some nice stuff in there at the moment, not cheap but think quality is good: This comes in a range of nice colours here tho you may want something more fitted? I love this in blue too here
