hey perfume freaks i have just smelled the PERFECT Christmas fragrance, for presents etc (for me, arf). It’s even called Plum, which is helpfully festive.

PLUM, lordy it's lush

if anyone likes Diptyque's Fig, it's got notes of that, so there is fruity roundness but wood iykwim? absolutely gorgeous and lasts well because of the base notes and, you know, just a bit unusual in the current megabrand climate.

All British too, the woman was keen to inform me. the solid perfume, in 18 carat gold covered pebble thing, is a particular work of genius. pricey, though, but so handy for bags... it?s lasting really well, too.

in fact, if any of you know dh... put the hard word on him, will you? Grin

Will give that a sniff next time I'm at the shops.

Awitch · 19/10/2010 16:52

double-weird... you have to hover over the name of the product you want to look at to bring it up. Hmm

Perfume... for presents??? Do you mean to make them smell nice or to give away as a present? Do people scent their wrapping paper? Someone had better let the poncetastic Christmas crew know!

Awitch · 19/10/2010 16:57

heheh, why yeeeeees, i perfume my wrapping paper, don't you? i hand-spritz it in my wrapping room, which also contains my flavoured sellotapes and mind-altering ribbons. Grin

What a lovely name.

Saw this in HOF window, didn't bother sniffing, repelled by pink packaging, assumed would be nasty, sweet-smelling and yuk. Will give it a whirl though, as love Fig.

Thanks, Aitch.

Awitch · 19/10/2010 23:13

I know what you mean about the pink, actually, I tend to associate pink with straight up floral, which is emphatically Not My Bag.
