Will my rings ever fit again post baby?

Didn't know where to post this but am 4 weeks post baby & still can't fit my rings back on. Well, I've managed to squeeze my wedding ring back on, but not my engagement ring which is a size smaller. Wedding ring looks craps on it's on as it is a really narrow band but can't get it off now.

Took them off at the beginning of the summer but am worried my fingers are now permanently bigger! They tiny, size f & g (have freakishly small wrists & fingers compared to my usual size).

Will my fingers go down any more? It seems to be the knuckle in the way. Short of shearing off some bone...not sure what to do.

Mine went back down both times. I honestly can't remember how long it took. I had pre-eclampsia so a lot of swelling.

Mine grew during my pregnancies, and never went down. DC3 is 12 now. I suppose I should get them altered.

eek. Am 39 weeks and had naive visions of slipping my rings back on in the delivery suite. I didn't swell up at all with my previous pg, so have nothing to compare it to.

It took a good 8 weeks before i could get my rings back on .
In fact after DS2 was born we were burgled and my rings were stolen.Sad

Oh no butterbur! I was so grateful to see my feet again after 3 months of living in flip flops.

How long should I give it before giving up? Should I just try sticking my hand in the freezer?

Mine never went down after two pregnancies, then never did my body Confused just paid £60 to get them both sized up a bit.

I haven't worn my engagement ring since having DD 13 years ago, but luckily my wedding and eternity rings are bigger.

I waited a couple of months and got fed up not being able to wear my rings (which I'd had to stop wearing while pregnant) and went to get them sized up.

The sales assistant made a comment about my fat fingers Shock Sad.

They've definitely loosened off a bit since I had them resized, but I still don't think I'd have been able to wear them comfortably at my old size. So, if I were you Bumperlicious I'd hang on for a couple of months before deciding whether to have them resized.

It took me a good 6 weeks to get back into mine. I was more swollen after birth than I was before it!

It was baby number 3 that was a pregnancy too far. By the time the others were 1 I was wearing my rings again and this time, no chance. I had to have them made bigger. I was upset at the time but 4 years on it really doesn't matter.

I know this is an old thread but it still came up when I was wondering when my ring would ever fit again! My baby just turned 6 months and I just tried it on after reading this thread and it fits for the first time since I gave birth. Still a bit snug but I expect after a bit more time will fit better. Hope this helps anyone thinking their ring might not ever fit again after the first few weeks pp. I haven't lost all my baby weight yet but at least my fingers are starting to get the memo. Xxx
