And if I don't pluck then what am I supposed to do?

dunno I've always wondered that...

RandomMusings · 17/10/2010 15:50

watching with interest

Tippychoocks · 17/10/2010 15:55

I've a mole with a hair in and I pluck. I also found a hair on my chin today Blush, the shame, so I plucked that too.

Waiting to see why I may regret it....

MimsyRogers · 17/10/2010 16:00

marking my place. I wax and tweeze my hairy mole, but I'm not sure why it's bad.

wholelotofarse · 17/10/2010 16:00

My nan told me all my hair on my head would come out too if I did and my bottom would fall off Hmm

DramaInPyjamas · 17/10/2010 16:08

Well my Gran told me I would get cancer if I plucked the hair on my mole..

Chatelaine · 17/10/2010 16:39

wholelotofarse - Your Nan was wrong, your bottom only falls off if you try to undo your belly button!

knobbingnowt · 17/10/2010 16:46

You can pluck hair from moles, old wives tale about it turning cancerous if you plucked.

Pluck away.

But do NOT undo belly buttons, dangerous on epic proportions, no one wants to be arseless.

DoraBelvedon · 17/10/2010 16:48

I shall chose to ignore random grandmothers and their tails of doom and will believe knobbing.

PMSL at undo tummy button
I have a fat arse- might give it go later Grin

DaisySteiner · 17/10/2010 16:52

I think it's a misunderstanding of the fact that sometimes, when moles become cancerous the hair falls out. Ie the cancer caused the hair to fall out, but some people thought it was the other way round.

Meow75 · 17/10/2010 16:55

I pluck hairs from moles with great enthusiasm, as I have many, and would look even MORE like a man if I didn't.

DramaInPyjamas · 17/10/2010 16:56

Sorry, I didn't mean to scare anyone! I know it's an old wives tale, but I still can't pluck mines!

wholelotofarse · 17/10/2010 20:00

Hehehe!! My nan was still giving me this line a few years ago bless her Grin very worried about the belly button now I will have 3 buttless children if that were true, might be handy considering how tuneful they have been of late Wink

TethHearseEnd · 17/10/2010 22:33

I plucked a hair from a mole only this morning.

Readers, it was grey.

I have hit a new low.

RandomMusings · 17/10/2010 22:43

Envy tethers

mine is WHITE and POINTY-ENDED like a needle, you could pierce the end and use it for embroidery

[sobs]

ChocFudgeCake · 17/10/2010 22:50

I thought you didn't pluck because next time you would have 2 hairs, not one Shock

TethHearseEnd · 17/10/2010 22:51

It's the beginning of the end, random... the beginning of the end.

franke · 17/10/2010 22:55

Doesn't it really hurt to pluck hairs from a mole?

MaeMobley · 17/10/2010 22:56

I pluck the hairs from my mole.

franke · 17/10/2010 22:58

Seriously, I have a mole with hairs, but have held back because of -old granny tales-- fear of the pain. Hit me with the truth sisters.

MaeMobley · 17/10/2010 22:58

Doesn't hurt at all; mine are like RandomMusings.

franke · 17/10/2010 22:59

Not even the first time?

FiveOrangePips · 17/10/2010 23:02

mine are em, well... quite sturdy hairs, will waxing hurt? I really am too much of a wimp to pluck (had my eyebrows done once so I know plucking is bloody painful) I find waxing less painful.

RandomMusings · 17/10/2010 23:12

Nah, I don't hurt and I am a WUSS

I wouldn't wax because you really don't want to be disturbing the surface of the mole any more than you have to

Plus the hairs are enormously long, having grown through one's comely eperdermis then forged a path through the mole atop one's skin

about this long: ___
