Just in case anyone else was as desperate as me....thought you might be interested seeing as they come in half sizes and are (at the moment....) super comfy.

Hmm, thanks for that - I looked at Timberland a while back, fell in love & forgot about them - I'd be interested to know how the sizing is as I heard it can be a bit out?

I like, now where can I try them on. Any high street stockists?

I bought a pair of Oxygen biker boots.

cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380274031324&afsrc=1

I'm a size 5 one foot and 5.5 the other, so usually buy size 6 in boots (unless I happen to afford Clarks or M&S who do half sizes). But I bought the 5 and they fit fine.

Calf measurement is 14" for anyone who's interested.

These seconds were repaired for free (famous shoe factory in my village luckily, took them seconds to glue it) but they said a cobbler would only charge a couple of pounds anyway.

These are very comfy too, feel like a pair of doc martens I had years ago, supple leather, good ankle support and walking on air feel.

About £80 new but much cheaper on ebay. My ebay seller said their manufacturers had just gone bust with the recession, so I'm wondering does that mean plenty of cheap overstock coming up on ebay soon? Hmm
Interesting.

The Timberland sizes seem 'normal' - I'm 5.5 in real life and in these!

They've just opened a shop in Kingston which is where I got them from - not sure how close you are to there...
