I live in New Look skinnies, and they're only £20. Just don't touch Topshop Baxters, they fall apart after five minutes (see threads passim)

CountessVonKnackerstein · 15/10/2010 18:36

New Look definitely

miche8 · 15/10/2010 18:40

i just bought the topshop baxters today after hearing people rave about them for years, how could i not notice the threads about them falling apart.

hollyhobbie · 15/10/2010 19:13

Cheap Monday you can buy them on ASOS, they're the only ones which really fit me.

berri · 15/10/2010 19:59

Also a big New Look fan. The Topshop ones seem to be too bumcracky for me!!

RamblingRosa · 15/10/2010 20:17

Uniqlo. Hands down. The straight skinnies rather than the tapered skinnies IMO.

kylesmybaby · 15/10/2010 20:59

thanks for this. have been to the white stuff sale today and got some lovely tunics/tops. need a couple of pairs of skinny jean so will check new look out now.

cariboo · 15/10/2010 21:04

Oh, definitely Gap! They've come out with Forever Skinny jeans which are the bees' knees. Seriously flattering but buy one size smaller than normal 'cause they tend to stretch a bit.

mum404 · 16/10/2010 15:36

Definitely Gap too, I have their always skinny jeans (lightweight darkwash). Love them :)

Bunbaker · 16/10/2010 16:29

I am wearing a fab pair that I got from Debenhams last week after several weeks of searching. They are very slim rather super skinny and are really flattering. The brand is Mantaray. They don't look that great on the website, but are better in real life. I have a very slim waist and these don't gape.

They are a little too low rise for me, but nothing like as bad as most skinny jeans that I have looked at.

I also liked the Falmer ones in Matalan.

celticlassie · 16/10/2010 23:27

Another vote for New Look. I have one super skinny pair and one normal skinny and I live in them

bananapeanutbutter · 17/10/2010 13:43

I bought the high-waisted skinnies from next after all the rave on here.

They were very poor quality and went straight back.

They are also what I would classify as "super skinny" on me - could be just my legs though!

Am still loving topshop jeans above all others - everyone always compliments me when I wear them! but I think I may have to look into the New Look and gap skinnies! Do either of these come in mid or high rise?

ladylush · 17/10/2010 15:39

I like the topshop high waisted skinnies - no bumcrack on view. They do get wrinkly after a couple of wears though.

higgle · 17/10/2010 18:35

Has anyone had any Howie's jeans? I thought they looked very nice when I was in the Bristol shop on Saturday, but the shop was so full of chattering class type noisy browsers I couldn't bear to stay in there long enough to try them on. When I go home DH and I had a long chat and came to the conclusion that just because Camilla and Tristan drag their noisy brood of precocious brats to a shop to maul the stock around and talk noisily that doesn't necessarily mean we should boycot it

MayorNaze · 17/10/2010 18:39

i like h&m actually, have 2 pairs from there and both fit very nicely :)

wash well too [sound like MIL emoticon]

Niddlynono · 17/10/2010 18:40

Dorothy Perkins' super skinny jeans are fab.

MayorNaze · 17/10/2010 18:42

i find dp a teeny weeny bit short but then again i have 31-32 legs...

CountessVonKnackerstein · 17/10/2010 21:49

I'm a 35" leg Sad and both new look and littlewoods south range are really well fitting for those of us cursed with long legs.

Meggles76 · 18/10/2010 18:06

I am petite and the Next high waisted ones are great on me and they have washed well
