Cankles - I want boots! HELP!!

Hi all

I have cankles! I know I'm not alone, but I am getting so frustrated. I am a size 12 and used to be a 10 and even then couldn't get boots to fit...

I just found this amazing Aussie company selling boots call Bennetts but they don't have styles I like...

I have been in discussion with Duo for a week and they have finally told me they can't help, that none of their boots will accomodate my cankles Sad

Does anyone know where you can go for boots when you have cankles... there must be somewhere out there that can cater for us?

I'm 37 and want to have a pair of leather boots before I die!

Thanks ladies,
Sallypoo

Just thought there might be other out there that would like to know that Clarks are doing a great range of Cankle loving boots this season and considerably lower prices than Duo and they fit!

Good luck to all those out there with the same problem, which would appear to be no-one!

They might not be your style, but I have a pair of Kurt Keiger Scandalous boots - there are adjustable straps the whole way up so you can size each part to fit your leg. I have huge calves as well and they fit no problem.

I know I should know this, but what exactly are cankles?

Sallypoo · 03/11/2010 10:04

Fat ankles... I hope this doesn't offend anyone - I am describing my own!

Think my legs should have been 6 inches longer then there would be a gap between my foot and calf!!!

Will look at the Kurt Keiger, many thanks....

why are they called cankles?

muddleduck · 03/11/2010 10:06

and what is the opposite of a cankle?

I have wide calves and narrow ankles so boots always go baggy around my non-cankles

dexter73 · 03/11/2010 10:15

I think they are called cankles as there is no difference between the width of the calf and the ankle. Calf + ankle = cankle!

so I have c........ankles.

thanks.
