Help! I need new black boots

I know boots have been done to death, but I really need new flat black ones, to wear over skinny jeans/trousers or leggings,or with shortish skirts and thick tights.

I'm a short arse, 5ft 2 (and a bit), slightly overweight but legs are normal to good.

They must be flat or very comfortable, as I walk every where, and my idea is to get the boots to make me wear skirts instead of permanently living in jeans.

Budget is up to £150, as I need the rest of the cash to but the skirts and leggings!

I can't decide which are nicest, and need to buy them soon before I spend my birthday money on the kids (again).

Since you are not very tall, you might be better with a slightly shorter boot-more leg on show makes you look talller/legs look longer.

Do you reckon they would be a good all round choice then? with a skirt and thick tights, or leggings or skinnys?

Those Motely boots were more grey than black when I saw them.

THe Polar ones would not go over my calves, and I don't have fat legs. Or at least, I don't have fat calves!

So back to the drawing board.

Are Fly boots any use? I thnk its the Mesi or the Mols styles.

I found gorgeous knee high flats in M & S but my legs are too fat so I am watching with interest. It did lead me to buy some gorgeous brown ankle boots though. If they came in black I would have bought them too.

I've got the Next ones in the other nude colour. They are nice but they are hurting my feet a bit at the moment. The sit just below the knee. For the price they are well worth it...assuming they break in ok!
