here

It is a positive festival of tartan, massive tweed cullotes, shooting socks and wimmin hanging around golf courses in court shoes HmmGrin

WTF!

this one picture sums up the catalogue

I'm relatively normal - the Red Direct catalogue comes, along with Boden and Joules, Pure cashmere and Wrap.

How did I end up with this?

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 13/10/2010 11:57

I knew it would be this oneGrin

I got this a couple of weeks ago.

Good for a laugh anyway...

Lauriefairycake · 13/10/2010 11:59

I spoke too soon, these are denim tartan JEANS Shock

whatkungfuthat · 13/10/2010 11:59

Think yourself lucky, I got a copy of High & Mighty yesterday Shock

LionScare · 13/10/2010 12:01

Are there really people out there who dress like that????

Come on out yourselves (bet Bonsoir has an item or two - at least I imagine her in very tailored stuff, probably NOT check though Confused)

Lauriefairycake · 13/10/2010 12:02

At least I've found out where the Hooray Henry's get their jumbo cord pink trousers Wink

They have them in yellow too.......and a very bright Cobalt Blue

Snigger, the jumper is bad enough but couldn't they find a pair of trousers that fit the model? I quite like this one.

bran · 13/10/2010 12:16

More laughter, I particularly like the matching socks on this. Grin

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 13/10/2010 12:18

Laurie I get this one, got it first last year and thought Shock how embarrassing that the postman might think I asked for it!

I had one through last week for somewhere hideously expensive - EM and ME I think it was called. I flicked through, thought ooh that's a nice dress. Not for £450 it isn't!!!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 13/10/2010 12:19

I want to know who buys this stuff. Americans maybe?

squeaver · 13/10/2010 12:21

I got one at the weekend too. Couldn't get it into the recycling fast enough.

My parents and their ilk are always going on about the House of Bruar "oh it's such a lovely day out, you'd love it"

Lauriefairycake · 13/10/2010 12:22

Ali - it's MeandEm - I love their stuff, have loads of their rolltop trousers, 7 way wrap, nightdresses Blush all bought in the fabulous sale they do.

I got a cashmere waterfall navy (very voluminous) for £54 reduced from 150 I think. It's amazing. Keep an eye out for their sale, really good reductions

bran, the tweed breeks are nearly out of stock Shock!!!

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 13/10/2010 12:27

I seem to have recently wound up on this kind of mailing list (not this one so far, although it's probably only a matter of time). I suspect it's because I bought a swimsuit from Land's End (they have good long-bodied swimsuits) but may just be encroaching age.

[need new emoticon to cover tartan jeans situation as Shock doesn't quite cover it]

catinthehat2 · 13/10/2010 12:43

Flip me have you SEEN these cardigans?

Do not click if you are feeling in any way 'fragile'.

funtimewincies · 13/10/2010 12:49

Not had that one yet, but getting enough new catalogues recently to suspect that my details are being sold on again (not looking at anyone in particular MNHQ Hmm).

sharbie · 13/10/2010 12:53

i quite like the cardies

sharbie · 13/10/2010 12:55

and that jumper

AbsofCroissant · 13/10/2010 12:55

It was PURE that probably put you on that list. I bought something from them, and the bastards forwarded on my name to every tweedy, highlandy, hand-woven lentil jumpery catalogue out there.

To date, they've added me to 10 other catalogues' mailing lists (I found out it was them when I told one of the catalogues I didn't want to be sent the catalogues any more).

Adair · 13/10/2010 12:57

I got that one too! And went Hmm

Lands End suspected here too...

HeadingHome · 13/10/2010 13:00

Beyond Sexy.

suzikettles · 13/10/2010 13:03

We stop in at House of Bruar on the way up North because they have good cakes and sandwiches made with Nice Ham.

It's stuffed with Awfully Nice people on the way to their "cottage" with turned up collars, jumbo cords and Barbours.

kailie · 13/10/2010 13:14

peeing myself at the fantastic tartan trousers with blue waistcoat. comedy clothes!

aquamortis · 13/10/2010 13:21

catinthehat2 · 13/10/2010 13:28
