What to wear with these boots...

Sorry, I am useless at this but if someone could give a bit of advice I would be very grateful

THESE BOOTS - Are they best worn with leggings or skinny jeans or something else?

Maybe black jeans. Opaques with a skirt or dress yes or leggings. Or black trews.

I think black boots and jeans are absolutely fine, but am not too keen on the trousers inside ankle boots look.
But that's only me.
