Just came across the S&B topic - brilliant! Like having a multitude of personal stylists at your disposal!

So, thought I'd ask for your help in accessorising this dress. It's for a Nov wedding so I need some kind of cardi-type affair, plus shoes... what colour??

you can also see a video here - 4th row down.

Thanks in advance!

what did htey say in store?

scurryfunge · 12/10/2010 15:25

Is this sort of thing too heavy ?more outdoors suitable

thomasina1 · 12/10/2010 15:36

Good idea - I bought it online so might pop into a store and ask for some ideas.

Scurry, I think that might be a bit heavy. But I do like it though - tempting anyway!

Maybe a shrug or shawl would suit.

thomasina1 · 12/10/2010 15:39

Yeah, I'm just a bit stuck to know what colours. Gold is obvious but then what colour shoes? If I go gold and gold is that all a bit matchy-matchy Hmm

The black shoes the model had on look good....a grey shrug would look good also.

scurryfunge · 12/10/2010 16:05

black

deathjeff · 12/10/2010 17:01

I would go for purple... gold is too obvious. Maybe keep any buckles and things gold to set it off but I'd get a pair of purple heels and a purple shrug. Bit more modern Smile

How about a velvet jacket?

WhatsWrongWithYou · 12/10/2010 17:15

To me it seems a tailored jacket would show off the lovely shape, rather than swamping it in something loose. This sort of thing, but can't tell if the colours right.

Thanks everyone! I like that black shrug scurry. Love the purple idea though as I have some lovely purple shoes so that would rate me buying a new pair. Then am thinking maybe a greyish shrug and some purple jewellery. Time for another shopping trip! Thanks for the all saints link too, didn't think to look there. The online shopping is a new thing for me - i have not being able to try things on - but it's a necessity now that I have a 2-year-old.
