Red or navy warm (puffa) coat for 2.5yo

monkeysmama · 12/10/2010 10:02

I am determined to find a nice puffa jacket for dd (2.5) this year in a navy or red. This is what I want but they don't start until a size 4-5.

I like this too even though it isn't red or navy but again it is too big.

Has to be warm and comfy.

I've looked everywhere I can think of and the only one I have seen so far is a navy timberland one which has a bright logo on it I am not keen on.

Anyone seen one or have any ideas where to look.

TIA

The Boden site appears to be down at the moment but I bought DS2 a nice navy one from there this year, and the sizes are small enough - he's got the 18-24mo.

monkeysmama · 12/10/2010 10:08

That sounds promising. I did look at Boden but only at the girls' page I think. Thanks.

Muddy puddles have a red one for girls. Also Zara often do puffa ones. I presume you have looked at next?

monkeysmama · 12/10/2010 10:12

Looked at Next and Zara. Zara ones were nice but not warm enough. Saw the Muddy Puddles ones too but they have funny zips (ok, so I am fussy)

Gap Warmest Coats- down filled and fantastically warm... my 2 have them every year; great resale value on ebay too.

Celery · 12/10/2010 10:14

Marks and Spencers?

monkeysmama · 12/10/2010 10:14

They only have pink or purple for young girls. I want one of those in red.

MM Are you sure that Gap don't have them in store? My DD (aged 4) has had Gap Puffas for the last couple of years. I will nip into CW at lunchtime and have a look for you.

monkeysmama · 12/10/2010 10:22

Choo you're a star. They have one that I really like but it seems to start at age 4. Thanks again Grin.

Hi MM Debenhams has this one but out of stock in aged 3 to 4 (I find they come up small) - maybe still in store tho here

H&M has a nice one - again sold out online (sorry!) see page three of the coats here

CMOTdibbler · 12/10/2010 10:48

Spotty Otter do fab down coats - ds has a jacket with zip off sleeves - here

flowerybeanbag · 12/10/2010 10:51

here you go Boden in navy and red

SandyChick · 12/10/2010 11:33

Baby Gap goes upto age 4. They have their warmest puffa coat in purple and pink in the girls baby gap section online.

My ds is 3 and i got him the navy blue 'warmest' coat from baby gap. They had it in the boys section too which starts from age 4 but it was bigger than the age 4 in the baby gap section if that makes sense.

Here it is

CHOOGIRL · 12/10/2010 12:29

Hi MM they had an age 3 in the dark pink and purple just now. Also 25% off with Grazia so bargaintastic.

moragbellingham · 12/10/2010 13:33

H&M have a really warm one.
here. It's £24.99 in the UK and I only found it online in navy blue. I don't know why my site is defaulting to Swedish(?)Confused

OllieWollieWoo · 12/10/2010 13:37

Choo - was about get get DS2 the red boys one - whats the Grazia code or do I need to track down a copy ?????!!!!

berri · 12/10/2010 13:38

I got a blue one in TKMaxx yesterday for 2yo DS, but there were only a couple and of course TKMaxx is always variable...

monkeysmama · 12/10/2010 17:07

Thanks for looking Choo. The pink and purple Gap coats are the ones I've seen on line and am not so keen on. She already has a parka but I want to get a really warm red puffa jacket for going to the park and away in cold weather.

Morag I like that Jack one but can't see it on the UK site. Will look again tonight when dd isn't hitting the computer.

I may take a trip to TKMaxx tomorrow too.

A bit pricey but if you REALLY want them ...

navy

red

moragbellingham · 12/10/2010 17:26

Links don't work too well with H&M and the pics change their arrangement!
However, it was on the 3rd page and was 3rd pic earlier.

monkeysmama · 12/10/2010 17:26

It's out of stock Sad.

Spotty otter do them in red here, but pricey.

moragbellingham · 13/10/2010 11:13

Just about to send mine back as it's too big (4-5yrs) and don't want to keep it till next year.

carciofi · 13/10/2010 15:33

MM, I bought this Mayoral coat for my DD, also available in red.

JamieLeeCurtis · 13/10/2010 16:09

Have a look on Landsend.co.uk. They do children's clothes now and are v good quality.

Also try Tchibo
