Ideas for fancy dress for baby?

I'm taking my DS (almost 1) to a Halloween party on Friday and the dress code for the bambinos is general fancy dress.

The hosts are pretty cool so I'd like to do something both cool and cute with DS before he can object rather than go down the pre-made costume route. Any ideas?

themed babygrows

I have a Robin Hood babygro (it came with a little green pointy hat). I got it for a pittance off Ebay.

When DD was little, I sewed black stripes onto a yellow babygrow/vest, and made a little black headband with antennae - bumble bee

There is nothing cuter than a baby dressed as a mummy !!! Grin

DS1 went as a ghost when he was 6mo. White babygrow and white hooded bath towel. I did make some effort, I sewed elastic loops to two corners to go on his wrists Grin

What about a sushi roll?

Or a snail?

When ds was just under 1 yr I made him a caveman outfit in fake leopard print. Just did the one shoulder thing and put it over a plain white long sleeved vest, so he was comfy but did look really cute and it was very easy to make
