Best hair dyes out there - but I am bored of 'yellow'

Lol, I have naturally very fair hair, but over the past few years it looks 'yellow' and straw like rather than a lovely blonde colour. I would like to try a do it yourself dye and wonder what you recommend. Either to have white/ash like tones or a classy darker blonde. Help please. x

What about if you tried the shampoo called 'touch of silver' here it's purple in colour and I think that boots still sell it. It takes the brassiness tones from grey or blonde hair? This would be one step before you tried a coloour in it, which might in time damage it or dry it out more? HTH
