Going to a wedding in a week's time. Help!

Am in serious need of inspiration for what to wear for a good friend's wedding.

I am short and overweight with a tummy which definitely needs hiding! Olive skin and dark hair.

Any ideas for something which doesn't make me feel like I'm wearing a sack....? Budget about £150 max

Please .....

If you don't mind, I'm going to squat on your thread and get your cast offs :o

Am also short, overweight but mousy hair and pasty skin. Budget about £15.00 max...

And going to a wedding next week.

Squat away! - as long as you mean in a temporary home context rather than a "behind the bush where no-one can see" type squatting...?

This could look lovely! It looks like it is draped quite flatteringly.

This would look good as the empire line will skim over any tummy

This is beautiful and has a high waistband which will make your waist look smaller!

What size are you both?

Runoutofideas · 08/10/2010 18:40

MentalFloss - those are great thanks! They're the sort of shapes that tend to fit..

I'm a 16-18 depending how tight on the tummy. Also have fat upper arms, so hiding them is a bonus too!

This could look lovely then as is empire ish line and nice sleeves.

Oh God, I've wandered into a skinny thread... Am a 22 20.

I loooooove the green Monsoon one. Totally different colour to my usual, would normally go purplish (the dress, not me!)

Runoutofideas · 08/10/2010 18:47

Ha ha Rockbird - hardly! I'm kidding myself about the 16!

I love the green monsoon one best so far - would need something over the top though. Fuschia cardi / cream cardi / something else...?

Rockbird - get out of my bush!

this would look lovely with the green dress!

Runoutofideas · 08/10/2010 19:04

Thanks mentalfloss - getting a bit pricy all together now though...

If you've got a dark grey cardigan it would look nice...

or any navyish cardigan as there is dark blue detailing on the dress

I didn't even look at the prices sorry Blush

Have got a short dark purple dressy cardigan - will have to look at the dress in real life to see if I can use it....
