I've been dying my naturally brown hair blonde for years. I've decided I want to go back to being a brunette but don't know if a brown dye will work on blonde hair......can anyone help?

use colour B4

yes don't put a plain brown on your blonde hair, it'll turn out greenish. You'd need a brown with reddish hue to it.

I was just looing at that BadgersArse.......it wasn't clear from the description if it will strip blonde dye properly or not. Maybe I'll speak to a hairdresser before I do something I may regret!!

You can't use colour before on blonde.
You must have been using bleach to go from brown to blonde, bleach doesn't dye the hair it strips out all pigmentation.
As piratecat says you have to use a brown with a reddish tone as a normal brown will just slip off the hair and go green. Not a good look :o
HTH.
