Dark straight leg jeans?

Ok...so i'm after the holy grail of straight leg jeans that don't go baggy after a few hours and which may look ok tucked into biker boots (but the tucking isnt essential).

I'm a size 12 ish, post natal so the waist can't be low rise and i have chunkyish thighs but skinny calfs. Any ideas?? I hate jeans shopping Sad.

Or...skinny jeans that don't bag and look nice with my new Fly Mes. I've got topshop baxters which are fine for a day only and don't like New Look ones or DP's - the denim isnt denim!

Help!!

Have you looked at new Levis range - slight curve, demi curve, bold curve - which one you choose depends on your waist to hip ratio. Worth a look.

i was about to suddest levi's, if you want something cheaper marks and spencer does a suprisingly good range, and they are proper denim (i know what you mean aboutnew look & Dp - they use too much stretch)

gap

greedygoose · 07/10/2010 12:37

Badgers - looked at Gap, which ones in particular?

coffeeinbed · 07/10/2010 12:40

they changed something at Gap with the real straight ones.
Worth a look, but the new ones are lower and the washes are a bit off.
BA, are you talking about recent ones?
Because I'm desperate as well

i'm a big fan of the denim from fat face - the rise is just right no too low and not high. The denim is lovely and soft and it washes really well. Havent tried the skinny jeans from there yet but the straight legs are good.

Agree re Fat Face but also White Stuff jeans are v. nice.

Ooo some good ideas there, will defo look at the Levi and gap ones. Had some cropped fat face jeans in the summer and their size 10 ones even went baggy on me so I needed a belt which gave me that awful bunched in look on the waist of the jeans. But if you ladies say they are usually good I will give it a look also.

Never would have thought about m&s!
