Boots, straight leg jeans - help!!!!

Can anyone suggest a style of boots for straight leg jeans. Have tried tucking them into my knee length boots, but I don't like that they are then baggy around my knees. Have tried jeans over long boots, but that doesn't look right either. I don't wear heels (am tall) so I need some ideas and inspiration.

Can anyone provide some???

IMHO the solution to the "straight jeans what boots?" dilemma is to roll up the straight legs (skinny little rolls not bloody great turnups) so that the jeans end at your ankle bone. Looks good with practically any type of ankle boot altho' small chunky heel is good.

Like your brogues Cyb. What tapered trews are you wearing with?

A lovely person on the W&A thread has just procured me a pair of C3PO coloured brogues from Primarni. I haven't had a chance to get to Kingston this week so don't know if I missed them there or whether they've still got them instore. Have you seen perchance?

esher I am still bravely wearing my New look thick cotton ones from the summer. Should really upgrade to a winter fabric if I can be arsed

I did buy some brogues from Primark last week, returned as on, they looked like Michael Flatley Riverdance shoes

you have been warned

I consider myself warned Cyb but at £3 I reckon they are worth a punt?
Arf at Michael Flatley though. Not the look I was hoping for.

BTW, whilst waiting for your response I did a quick peg trawl on ASOS and am going to try these. I ordered these the other week but found the waist tie bit too bulky/fussy but really liked the fabric and cut so am hoping the first pair are the holy grail of pegs. A bit like the Isabella Oliver jersey pegs I keep hearing people going on about only a third of the price.
