La Redoute and terrible customer service

Has anyone else had problems with them? They used to be pretty efficient, but last couple of orders have been problematic - not picking up returns for weeks, then charging for them even when I'd phoned to say I didn't want them.
Latest headache - an order I made never arrived (no missed delivery card left, nada, nothing) but according to my customer statement they were returned by me and they are now charging me postage!

I have dashed off a crisp letter to what is laughably called Customer Care but what I really want is the damn order! Grrr!

Yes. I ordered something mid August using a 50% off code. Forgot about it and another catalogue from them last week reminded me. Called them up and they apparently had major i.t. probs that week and none of the orders registered but funnily enough they were able to see what I ordered. The dress I want is out of stock and is apparently coming in this week and as a gesture of goodwill they have knocked the p & p off. I live in hope but doubt it ever arriving.

It is grim what they are doing to you and I would not use them again ever, those free gifts they entice you with are utter crap too.

Fimbo - if the order is a no-show I am removing myself from their mailing list. They are ridiculously inefficient. I think they were bought by somebody a while back so perhaps that explains the shambles.

I ordered something from them before I got pregnant & it was out of stock for so long that by the time it came I was 6 months gone. It was short to start with & indecent by then! I am hopeless at returning things at the best of times, so gave it to a friend & stopped using them.

Yes, I really want the dress and with the discount and now p & p off it is only £19.50. I am going to be gutted if it doesn't show but I want nothing more to do with them after this. It is a pity as dd is at the tweeny stage and they had some nice things she liked.

They went way downhill about a year or two ago. Most of the clothes are really, really poor quality, they have about 3,000 pages of 'clearance' items (which is basically absolute rubbish dressed up as - well, nothing much)
I stopped using them for anything much around 2 years ago. I only buy branded stuff from them on occasion, in the sale (Camper, levis etc etc)

otherwise everything just goes back.

Similar experience here - I was always disappointed with what I ordered, as the colours often looked completely different on the website and in RL. The clothes would take ages to arrive, they lost one of my packages and were generally unsympathetic and unresponsive. I gave up after 3 orders and they wasted a lot of my time, which is a shame as I do 60% of my shopping on-line and usually it is completely hassle-free. Not with La Redoute, however.

Well I only started to order from them last August when I saw some great trousers on a fashion blog.. And I have been really pleased. Ordered lots and always delivered on time, customer service been good if I needed to contact them, and had compliments on the clothes I have bought!
