please? It's for a wedding at the weekend. The dress is just below knee length and not low cut and I think could possibly become frumpy with the wrong accessories.

Is black okay? I am thinking of black (patterned?) tights and patent heels. Not too high or I will fall over.

Or maybe pale/silver grey? But then what kind of tights do I wear?

I'd be very grateful for any advice from stylish people.

black opaque tights, shiny black shoes, lovely. What about hair pieces ? and a little shrug/bolero, maybe in pale/silver grey to lighten it up a bit ?

silvery grey woudl be nice - do you need tights this weekend?

A clutch bag usually has the effect of de-frumping most outfits Smile

I wouldn't wear black opaque tights on this occasion - would definitely make it frumpy. Black patterned tights would be nice or barely/sheer black or else natural colour so there's not too much black. If you are wearing pale silver/grey, I'd wear sheer black tights - get good quality ones - they make a difference.

Okay excellent, thank you all. I have a silver-grey clutch bag and pashmina. I have just got some bargainous wolford tights which are patterned so will try them, if they look wrong I will wear nice sheer black ones. And actually the weather forecast says it will be a high of 19 on Saturday, so I could possibly go without tights.

Thanks
