A tremendous faux pas or a great find??

I found the ladies version of these lurking at the bottom of my wardrobe - in the chestunut/chocolate brown colour. They don't seem to do the same boot for ladies anymore for me to link to but it's much the same as this but lighter looking IYKWIM.

They look great with straight-legged jeans but are they totally wrong or can I wear them in 2010 (I bought them circa 1996 Shock)

Opinions much needed before I become the local talking point for bad dress sense!

TIA

Well I have worn chelsea boots for over 20 years and quite honestly don't care what other think - I like them, they are comfy and I think they look great.

I think you absolutely HAVE to wear them!

Boots like that are currently in Hobbs for 169.

Who cares if trendy now or not, but they've been in a few shops so i think they are.

I would certainly wear yours, they're lush.

I miss my RM's. They are a shoe that never goes out of style I think. Very much a classic. They had a competition recently to find the oldest pair still being worn. I think the winning pair were nearly 70 years old!!

Grin ... thank-you for the reassurance. I shall wear them and smile inwardly each time I look down at them! I've only worn them a few times so they're like new but I'll wear them loads now!
