you are going to theme parks in florida, i don't think you can forget about sartorial elegance

shushpenfold · 05/10/2010 19:28

Fitflops?

Blu · 05/10/2010 19:30

Do Birkies have the same effect as Crocs? re hell etc?

This rift numbers are truly horrible, and look horrible with all know clothes, too.

Fluffypoms · 05/10/2010 19:30

you can get nike rifts in footlocker or
jd sports.

largeginandtonic · 05/10/2010 19:31

Yes, flit flops.

Some fairly decent Merrel sandal type things around. Will look and link.

CerealOffender · 05/10/2010 19:32

yes birkies are great and certainly nicer than those 'i am too fat to tie my laces' nike affairs

largeginandtonic · 05/10/2010 19:34

here

Look better in rl.

scratchmyback · 05/10/2010 19:45

I went to Florida a few months ago and took flip flops, birkies and converse with me.

We walked so much that by the 3rd day I went and bought some trainers, I gave in to my feet being hot in them.

But, if you really want nike rifts, don't buy them before you go, they will be so much cheaper when you are there. There is a huge Nike outlet store there not far from the parks.

scratchmyback · 05/10/2010 19:46

and I wouldn't go near Crocs either, I would rather my feet bleed to death!!

MilkNoSugarPlease · 05/10/2010 20:51

They may be ugly but christ they are comfy!!

Buy them!

your feet will love you :o

MilkNoSugarPlease · 05/10/2010 20:52

What shoe size are you?

happilyeverafter · 05/10/2010 21:39

I love my air rifts. Although I do only wear them for sports. Mine are 7 years old so may invest in new ones.

miracled · 06/10/2010 09:12

Not even the croc flip-flop type?

fishie · 06/10/2010 09:16

yes get fitflops, they are v narrow for birdy feet. i couldn't get my hoof in.

Havingkittens · 06/10/2010 09:23

I agree, Air Rifts are the most comfy shoes ever. I have two pairs but haven't worn them for years, partly because my boyfriend thinks they are weirdo devil shoes (cloven hooves!) and partly because they stink! Yes, the big down side to these is that, even though they come with their own pair of special cloven hoof socks, you rarely want to wear socks with them and as a result they end up very stinky. BUT you can stick them in the washing machine, which I recommend doing as soon as they start to wiff otherwise you will NEVER get the smell out.

BadgersArse · 06/10/2010 15:45

im a size 39
i like the idea of rifts

OP posts:
BadgersArse · 06/10/2010 15:47

i cant find any in normal sizes in UK
maybe will wait till florida

OP posts:
MilkNoSugarPlease · 06/10/2010 16:12

No idea what a 39 is nut if its a 5.5 or a small 6, buy the kids ones...no split toe, and roughly.36 quid cheaper

ElizabethWakefield · 06/10/2010 16:20

I bought my DD nike rifts for going round the parks in Florida this summer, they rubbed all round the edge of her foot and blistered, she wore her converse after that.

I bought a pair of converse slip on shoes over there to wear, comfiest thing I have ever worn. Will try to find a link.

BadgersArse · 06/10/2010 17:11

yes is a 5.5 6

good tip

OP posts:
MilkNoSugarPlease · 06/10/2010 17:25

40 quid differance!

LIZS · 06/10/2010 17:33

hideous ! I've got a similar style to these in metallic silver. Agree Fitflops too
