I have planned and budgeted for a shopping spree on Friday which I had been looking forward to. However I am now quite stressed as I badly need jeans/cords/tousers whatever for the winter. Have tried on many makes over the past few months and NOTHING FITS!
Been a size 12 for a few years though most 12s very tight round the waist and gave me a real muffin top - had to move towards the more generous makes. Loads of flab round the middle since having kids - but my natural body shape is narrow hipped and not much of a waist.
Anyway have been piling on the pounds, often cant even fasten the 12 and though - why stress - I will just crack and do a 14. But of course they are all comfy at the waist but big baggy and revolting everywhere else. Wondered if anyone could suggest a make or style that is big in the middle but cut fairly neat on the hips.
To complicate matters I go for petite ranges if I can. Don't mind the expense of alterations but it is really difficult to judge how things look if they are far too long for starters.

Have you been trying bootleg cut trousers. I wobble between hourglass and apple shape and they are definitely the style that fit me best.

I find Wallis good for apple shapes. Uniqlo are good for apple jeans, but would probably be very long on you.

I am a lollipop, an apple on a stick

I wear gap bootcut jeans, they have a name like sexy or slim can't remember exactly

They r the best fit on my slim bum and hips and flabby middle

When they r in the sale For a tenner I buy several pairs

Inknow they are not on trend but i look stupid in skinnies as I am so top heavy

What about men's jeans? Men don't have hips and have straight waists so it stands to reason that their jeans might fit your shape. Try the men's (unisex) 501s rather than the ladies' ones.
