desperatehousewife · 08/09/2005 19:29

oooh yes, i used to wear the ones with white piping (except mine were red piping - probably cheaper!) when I was about 11 or 12. COOL!

LadyTophamHatt · 08/09/2005 19:29

Bloody hell they are in again? desperate housewife - no all of you - too funny -

girls head to toe black you will be pleased to hear is in also!!-

and (hate me hate me) my size six Zara trousers still fit even after pregnancy (I think Zara sizes are very generous you see)- and I too WILL NOT be wearing skinny jeans because (the shame) my bum won't fit into them!!! - they must sew them onto kate moss and the likes

stitch · 08/09/2005 19:39

OK I thick ladies , but what makes skinny jeans different from other jeans?

Nightynight · 08/09/2005 19:47

well, the jeans will be skinny anyway.

Nightynight · 08/09/2005 19:48

im guessing they are tight ones with lycra mix, stich?

cupcakes · 08/09/2005 19:49

stitch - they are straight legged, not boot cut. And very tight in the thigh.

stitch · 08/09/2005 19:49

but arent they the sort that have been around for years now? and theya re more comfy than the old cotton/deniim ones.
not that my backside looks good in anything other than a tent.
thanks nighty, was feeling very unfashionable there.

absolutley no way i would be able to shoe-horn myself into a pair of those.

I could pass as a stunt double for cilla off coronation at at the moment.

KBear · 08/09/2005 19:57

ooh, yuck - never look good unless you're a skinny minny which I am not. I am still up for bootcut jeans - let's rebel and keep this fashion going, far more flattering to most figures!

charleypops · 08/09/2005 20:00

Speaking of "piping" Does anyone remember "carrot tops"?? Lasted about 2 weeks about the same time in the very early eighties? I'm beginning to think I imagined them as no else I've asked can remember them. They were hideous.

desperatehousewife · 08/09/2005 20:15

carot tops? eh??

tight on the thigh....can't help thinking of suszi quatro.
