Love this coat but really?

I really want a good quality coat that is going to last forever and will go with anything really.

I've fallen in love with this but a little at the price.

Do you like it? Would you spend that much on a coat? Have you seen any decent cheaper alternatives?

I love the Karen Millen "Investment" coats they have every year. This is a lovely one too. They are really well made and good quality and will last a long time. I would say if you can afford it, its worth it, although try to find a voucher code or wait for a House Of Fraser 20% off day (there was one just last week). The only thing is they are really heavy and my shoulders do get a bit tired if I am wearing mine for too long.

If you are looking for something cheaper Zara have some decdent quality winter coats. I have just bought this one but they also have in black

See, I dont think that IS a classic coat. Too military in its styling and double breasted can be dodgy on boobs.

A single breasted slim fitted crombie is a safer bet, a real classic that goes with everything

I've just recommended TKmaxx, I bought a corker of a cashmere blend last year, £80

prefer the shape of the Zara one

I really like that Zara coat actually.

Will go see if my local store stocks it and try it on I think.

I can probably (just) afford the Karen Millen coat but if I got something cheaper I can get myself a couple pairs of new trousers/jeans as well so that's good.
