personal Stylists / shoppers - who uses them / do you have a good one?

I've seen that personal stylists / shoppers are appearing at all the stores now. Has anyone used and of them that were any good? (Particularly in the central london are)

I have no idea on clothes that suit me and to be honest who has the time to trawl through all the shops only to come home with one item if that. So was thinking that perhaps I should give these stylists a go? I see that some are free and some cost....hmmm

I am really tired of my ""uniform"" of jeans and top and jacket everyday, even the kids ask when i'm getting into my uniform, that tells me its really time for change!!!!

thoughts?

My mother uses one in her local John Lewis store for special occasions and thinks it's a great service. The service in John Lewis is free and there is no hard sell...

Debenhams offer a good service, too.

thanks ruburubyruby, that is useful to know as I would be tempted to go with her, but you're right let them choose and then perhaps i'll end up with something different to my normal outfits.

Did you go to one of the ones mentioned (john Lewis or Debenhams) or somewhere different?

:)
