i've always loved these with leggings/jeans and boots in the winter and intend to go all out again this year Grin but want to get a couple more.

Apart from a the Hush Henley and Great Plains black stripey number have you seen any fabulous ones that don't cost a bomb?
I do have my eye on one from The White Company but thats strictly of my price range.

TIA

Polyhymnia : i think so, as i always thought i was a Medium in WC clothes, but the assistant insisted i try on Small and XS.
XS just clinged too much in all the wrong places but Small was fine.

I have lost a ton of weight recently and seem to be yo yoing from a 10 (in some labels) to a 12 in others.

not sure if that helps?!

I also saw the tunic reduced that you mention and it looked nice but personally i didn't think it was worth nearly £40 - i think i preferred the Warehouswe one for the same amount.

i love the tunics that are showing on the Next website. will they all be in the store. i know they have a Next Directory - was the links showing that?.

i have bought a couple of woollen tunics from the white Stuff which are lovely.

i love wearing tunics and leggings with boots in the winter. im only 5.1 so really easy to wear if i can find tunics that are short enough.

this one Cobblers

OhCobblers · 09/10/2010 16:23

ooh motherinferio i had no idea! will certainly look at those sites - keep 'em coming!!

Millie! - that's the one i've been lusting after but also tried on the Grey one and not sure if the ribbed design is going to be flattering for me. however, i tried on a too small a size so perhaps the "right" size will help me form a better judgement.

I've just ordered this Warehouse swing dress and the White company jersey tunic.
Shall see how they are and report back.

Clure · 09/10/2010 18:32

moragbellingham, I have the warehouse swing dress in green, its gorgeous,
kylesmybaby - I am also 5'1 and the warehouse swing dress is a great length, looks great with leggings and my calf length boots

Millie I love the WC one but wouldn't want to pay that much!
I'm also thinking of ordering this

Anyone who likes that La Redoute one, may like M and S's Portfolio 3/4 sleeve scoop neck knitted dress with lambswool at £ 35. (Sorry, can't link!).

Usually Portfolio is a no-no for me - frumpy and fussy - in fact, M and S has a lot that's naff. But just got that dress and it's really quite nice - pretty neck and, because it's in plain charcoal grey, you can style it how you like with boots, belts, layers, necklaces, etc.

Also got a couple of nice knitted dresses/tunics from M and S Autograph this season.

moragbellingham · 10/10/2010 20:51

I think I know the one you mean ? but don't have the stomach for it!
However, I'm seriously liking this and think it would help - shame it doesn't come in my size. M&S have never liked small backs/big cups although virtually everyone I know is like this!.

switchtvoffdosomelessboring · 11/10/2010 14:42

I was thinking of ordering this.

I'm not sure though, although I've lost some weight I still have a big jelly belly (thanks kids).

biglips · 11/10/2010 14:43

ive seen loads in peacocks if you do have one.

switchtvoffdosomelessboring · 11/10/2010 15:34

polyhymnia m and s one

Now I think I should like it, but can't help thinking it doesn't look very nice of the model, but can't decide if its the dress or the black leggings + pumps.

polyhymnia · 11/10/2010 17:20

Thanks. Yup, do know what you mean and was doubtful I'd keep it when I ordered it to try it. But it does seem to look better than expected on me (or perhaps I'm deluding myself!).

I don't like the leggings, bare feet and ballerinas much with this on the model - don't think Portfolio styling exactly imaginative. Am thinking more tights (purple?) and long boots. Also interesting necklace - have my eye on one at Hobbs when an offer comes along there.

And perhaps with black tights and boots layered over a grey and black striped long-sleeved T-shirt I've ordered.

gorehaginhellsbum · 16/10/2010 12:18

WC tunic is a strange marl effect and not a block colour.
It is very thin and poor quality compared to previous years jerseywear.
It's defo going back.

Loving the Warehouse dress esp the colour but not sure about 3/4 sleeves.

I am very hard to please!
