My DD turns 4 next week, and we are going to a priness themed party this weekend coming.

Would like her to be warm and comfy and not wearing soem satin ugly thing. Plus shoes.... what about shoes?

She could go as Princess Anne and wear riding/farming gear Grin

The old Jean Greenhowe books have lovely traditional costumes in, libraries often have them.

Try "Party Costumes for Kids" or "Costumes for Nursery Tale Characters" ashere.

Or TBH any sewing shop will have a stock of patterns, e.g here

Try Monsoon or even Next. Now they'll have new season things in, so maybe a nice velvet dress? My dd has a red velvet party dress frm Next which she wears with a frilly petticoat underneath and a little furry stole to be a princess Grin

I wish I had a little girl sometimes

Or try ebay for ex-bridesmaid dress? Or a charity shop for one to cut down?
