I am having a Jaeger moment

Bit Shock at self.

But they have some bargains on their outlet site; have just ordered [http://www.jaeger.co.uk/index.cfm?page=1013&productid=700026V&productvarid=700026V-00100-12&refpage=1428# this coat] and [http://www.jaeger.co.uk/index.cfm?page=1013&productid=630051V&productvarid=630051V-03300-12&refpage=1419 this dress], rather cautiously, as last time I remember Jaeger only catered to portly matrons over 50.

Has Jaeger got a bit trendy? Or am I just getting old? Hmm

WTF has happened to those links? Hmm No spaces when I copied them over....

I'm having a Jaeger moment too - I thought I was too young for them, but they seem to have seriously overhauled their image to cater for women in their twenties and thirties, and stylish, not frumpy women in their forties and fifties.

Quite a shock, really!

I sympathise. I had my eye on a gerry weber jacket earlier this year. Didn't buy it as I can't afford it, but it was nice.

Whoamireally · 03/10/2010 11:24

Oh good, so glad it's not just me!

I couldn't see the links, but there is some nice stuff there, like this dress

very joanie

Whoamireally · 03/10/2010 11:30

Hmm it is still not doing the links properly.... but it's the Waterfall Jersey Coat and the 125 Frill Neck Dress.

Beautiful dress, valium, although I've yet to see the appeal of Gerry Weber. It's probably only a matter of time, though.

Something I have noticed about the Jaeger and Hobbs websites. The lettering and styling are very similar?

The Jaeger stuff has become more contemporary of late but still seems more expensive than Hobbs though even though it caters for the same age/imcome bracket. Hobbs dont do mens stuff but I would say Jaeger mens stuff also seems expensive compared to what I can buy for similar or better quality elsewhere. It has changed in its styling but pricing is still too high IMO.

Disclaimer: I have a professional interest in hanging about on women's fashion retail websites. Grin

I bought Jaeger coat last weekend in our local outlet - OMG it is divine :) Also a very nice clutch bag. I could've spent an absolute fortune.

Have to say though that I felt VERY young whilst browsing in the shop as I was the youngest in there by far - I am 40

ValiumSingleton · 03/10/2010 20:00

It was just the ONE jacket ttalloo!

There's an outlet in Reading town centre if that's of use to anyone.

moragbellingham · 04/10/2010 19:35

They have most definitely had a de-frump over the last few years and lots of slebs have been wearing the brand again.
Not saying she looks great in it (not much of a fan of hers either) but here's KM Kate Moss

I love the lady bags they do and also the 70% off section of the website!

Whoamireally · 04/10/2010 21:23

I love that blouse! But that woman could wear a bin bag and still look fantastic.

I love Jaeger, I'm off to the Freeport outlet tomorrow for a browse.

I do mix it up though, despite being 40 I still can't carry off head to toe Jaeger.

greedygoose · 04/10/2010 21:37

Am totally in love

Alouiseg · 04/10/2010 21:54

That's really pretty.
