warm stylish winter boot, do they exist?

I'm looking for some new winter boots but they need to be very warm. I'm really nervous about the cold of winter coming again last year my feet were sooo cold, I can't have it again.

I'd like some leather boots that are lined similar to an UGG lining or fleece lining but they need to be leather not suede and suitable for everyday wear for the school run etc, so no/low heal.

Do these exist? Where should I look?

what about ugg kensingtons? they are leather? I have poor circulation and really suffer from cold hands/feet. My uggs were a godsend but i don't wear in snow/wet my feet froze in my wellies last year.

Also look at Merrell's the oslo is lovely leather boot that looks snug.

What's your budget? These fit the bill, but you may have to sell a kidney.

I bought some in Ecco last year that fit the bill. They are leather, lined with a soft warm material. They are waterproof and flat and so, so comfortable. They grip really well too. When it snowed last year, I was striding around while everyone else was slipping and skidding. And they still look really good this year, despite the soaking they got.

They don't seem to do the same model this year but these are very similar.

The only downside is that the do look a little bit more functional than stylish, if you know what I mean but I like them enough to wear over jeans or leggings.

Tethersend, I love those boots, that is exactly what I mean. The price is a bit rich though isn't? But I guess its made to measure, though i think that I would like to see them first.

The UGG kensingtons are good too but I'm more of a classic style type of person and am fairly small so think that they might be a bit chunky for me.

I like the last link to the riding boots too. Other than Norfolk can anyone see where you can go and try the boots?

Stockists number here

Celtic sheepskin boots, better & cheaper than Uggs. The Aqualamb boots are water resistant, I've had mine 2 years and I wear them nearly every day.
They also do sheepskin insoles which warm up any shoe or boot [smiley]

dingdong3 · 03/10/2010 17:53

Am drooling at all of these links....esp the Ugg Kensington but I do find my kidneys rather useful Sad

mrswoodentop · 09/10/2010 17:16

I am considering these
windermereequestrian.co.uk/photo/sherwood-dalton-waterproof-country-boot-andpound9999/53133

or these www.robinsons-uk.com/products/ProductDetail.asp?ProductCode=21731&utm_source=google&utm_medium=basefeed

or these www.headtohoof.co.uk/productDetails.cfm?ProductID=700&Source=2

I have been umming and aahing for ages and really need to make a decision, think I am erring towards the toggi canyons, like the Sherwoods but wonder if the suede may not be quite so durable
What do you think?

smilesandsun · 18/10/2010 15:13

I just found www.johnlewis.com/133729/Style.aspx?tid=0
any I think that they are a winner for warm affordable boots, and as an added bonus they look good too!

livvyliv · 21/10/2010 09:30

Hi Happy
I would say they're true to size.I did wear them with thick socks as well

WhatsWrongWithYou · 21/10/2010 09:37

I always use sheepskin liners in my boots - too depressing to wear ugly ones!
