How's this for a maternity outfit?

Feeling very un-fashionable at the moment and want an up to date outfit.

Have I got this all wrong?

Trousers

Top

Cardi

Boots, in brown

Top, cardi and boots all gorge.

Trousers laughably awful.

I agree with Bunny. Those trousers would be good if you wanted to deflect attention from your bump to your ginormous weird saddlebag thighs but I'm not sure anyone these days tries to deflect attention from it so noooooooo!

(not saying you have weird thighs, obv!) Grin

Oh Blush

Thought they were 'in'. Also want something different from jeans or leggings...back to the drawing board!

I'm not sure I would pair those trousers with the rest of the outfit. Also I can't visualise the khaki going with washed out pink.

The top/cable cardi and boots are all lovely and would work together with some slim fit jeans or skinnies.

bintofbohemia · 01/10/2010 16:11

Don't take my word for it, I spent my formative years dressing down during the grunge years and am a bit scruffy. Fashionista I'm not. Grin

I like it and these pants can be supprisingly slimming- just try on in RL be4 buying to see if they suit your shape. And I would probably go for a different top colour- navy would clash with the rest of outfit IMO.

notinmypocket · 01/10/2010 16:52

Pregnant or not - these trousers should never be worn by anyone.
I just don't understand this style. Even suspended in the air, not even on a skinny model body, they seem very unflattering.

Paribus · 01/10/2010 20:35

notinmypocket, have you tried them (not necessarily this pair, but smth similar) on? i did, and they can be really flattering- depending on body type and body proportions.

notinmypocket · 12/10/2010 12:24

Bit late for a reply but still....no Paribus I cannot speak from personal experience, never wore them myself, I just don't like the way they look...I cannot even bring myself to try them on.
But you never know ...
