A bit like this dress from Next except in a cardy. Have checked Next and can't see anything simiilar in a cardigan. Have looked at Pure, Wrap, White Co, Boden etc but no joy. Any ideas please.

Dickens and Jones at House of Fraser has gorgeous ones.

I recently bought this:

Wrap Cardi

But this one might be more your thing:

Cable Cardi

Millie1 · 01/10/2010 15:29

Thanks 101 - shall have a look now Smile

I have this on order from the Boden winter preview and will report back when it arrives.

olderandwider · 01/10/2010 15:52

pricey but nice!

ditto!

Millie1 · 01/10/2010 16:17

Thanks all. That looks lovely whatIf - will you report back please Smile

Those are lovely older but not really waht I'm after - WC too short and the Pure cardigan has too much detail in the knit - I know this doesn't make sense but it's just not cosy enough looking Hmm - I've been looking at it on and off for the last few weeks and keep reaching the same conclusion. Sorry!

or this?

happilyeverafter · 01/10/2010 17:39

I've just ordered the same one as topsi, am chilly today and it looked so warm.

Millie1 · 01/10/2010 17:53

I really like both of those though the IO cardigan is just a paler colour than I wanted. Shall have a proper look after dinner, baths and bedtime for children Smile

I'm ordering a skirt from Kew tonight so have been looking at their cardigans. What do we think of these - in no particular order:

One

Two

Three - a bit different

Four - cream's not a good colour actually

Five - maybe not quite long enough

Six - not sure how this would sit if not buttoned

There you go, almost every long cardigan from the Kew website. Kids calling, back later Grin

withorwithoutyou · 01/10/2010 20:04

this?

Millie1 · 01/10/2010 20:47

Thanks Withorwithoutyou - gets a black mark for having short sleeves aside from that it is v. nice.

Is this the same as the cardie hunt from last week, millie? Grin I bought a White Company one and love it but still need a l/s one.
What about this one or have you looked at Celtic Sheepskin, they've got lots of grey cardies.

Millie1 · 01/10/2010 23:08

Is there a [sheepish] emotion AQ?!

Yep, it is! Except I've settled on a long, chunky grey but need t find it. I ordered the Phase 8 cardy on the other thread from John Lewis but it's too fine - it's lovely on though.

Have just looked at your link - that's the sort of thing I was thinking of except more fitted - the Next dress this morning was a lovely fitted shape and if only it was a cardigan! There's a fine line between getting it right and getting it wrong and I'm worried that wrong = granny Hmm. Okay, I'm going to go away and think about it - and do another order this weekend!

OP posts:
accessorizequeen · 01/10/2010 23:30

Oh, I'm no better, I spend weeks researching and then it's out of stock! Could I tempt you with colour though? I suppose this would be too pale again?
I am tempted by that phase 8 one, fine knit would suit me and I'm liking blue this winter. Less expensive than the wrap one I had my eye on too!

Millie1 · 02/10/2010 10:43

AQ - I think I've got a valid 20% off Phase Eight code. I'm running out the door now but will check and post it over lunchtime. It's lovely on (just too like my Boden cardigan for me) and 20% makes it not too bad!!

zara had some, but not sure if they'll be long enough for you...

i've been looking for something similar, but i don't want it long! lol

Millie1 · 02/10/2010 14:10

Thanks Thisis

Phase 8 code is GKEEP91 - think it's only valid for a few more days

Hi Topsi. What size did you order in the Isabella Oliver cardigan? I am a size 10. Not sure whether to order small or medium. Some of the reviews say to downsize. Could you let me have your opinion on size and quality when it arrives? Thanks.

topsi · 02/10/2010 16:47

Yes Tilly I ordered a small as the reviews say it comes up big. I usually order a 10 in their tops etc but guess I am really 10-12. One of the reviews said that the medium was more 12-14. Will let you know when it arrives.

takingchances · 02/10/2010 19:12

My friend got a divine charcoal grey knee length chunky knit one one from Comptoir des Cotonniers - I cannot find it on their website for the life of me (also there is no online shopping facility) but she assures me it's current stock.

isel · 02/10/2010 21:14

I got this one from m&s and it's super cosy and cute here
