and return this dress? It was a bargain, I quite like it and it is a size smaller than I usually wear (could have gone for a size smaller still but they didn't have it) DP says its shapeless. I like that it's shapeless - I don't have much shape (well just big shapes). Was hoping to wear with opaques to work or over trousers as day dress? What do you think?

I'm sorry I agree with your dp, Have you tried wearing a belt with it and maybe a waist length cardigan with mid arm sleeves and a chunky bangle .

I like it. Not over trousers though, you need your legs out to make it a bit stylish. It does look like it might not flatter anyone over a size 10 though (don't know if you are?)

Don't need it to be anything special - just an ordinary dress. Unfortunately I'm well over a size 10. Think it might be going back.

I think it is a bit shapeless. Keeping something just because you can fit into it in a size smaller isn't really a reason to keep it. You won't enjoy wearing it much if you know your dh doesn't like it.

It's not so much that I care if he likes it or not. It is more that every time I put it on I would be thinking of the negative comment that was made about it and that would put me off wearing it. BTW I kung fu chop dh if he messes with me - no horse whipping here!

If you are over a size 10, then no. if you are over a size 6, then no. This is not a dress for a woman with a bit of meat on her bones.

Yeah it's just the style. You could take it back and use the cash for something that makes you look luscious.

Its easy to think that because you aren't happy with your shape you should wear shapeless dresses, but its not true. I'm sure you could find something more flattering that would make you feel special rather than well hidden

My dh does actually have really good taste when it comes to clothes so he is (unfortunately!!) usually right!

Nice dress but really only for skinnys. I have a simialr shaped dress that I really like, but saw photos of me in it recently and I don't think I'll wear it again. I'm only size 12 FFS!
