Hi, anyone know of a good hairdresser in Herne Hill/Denmark Hill/East Dulwich? SE5, SE22 or SE24 would be ideal.

Not GM Hair please as they made a mess of it and I don't want to go back. Village Hair is out also (Lordship Lane) as I was hacked to death. Blush

Thanks.

How about Willis B? Have had a few good cuts there.

also Jo Patridge on North Cross Rd has had good things said about it by friends of mine .... ?

Oh, thanks, that's great! Smile I can't face GMs. I look like a bobbed badger. :(

Another vote here for Jo Partridge in ED.

A friend was hacked to death at Willis B (she went in for a trim), though I like itSmile

LetThemEatCake · 30/09/2010 14:32

cripes, how many of us are there here??

iskra · 30/09/2010 14:33

Hairy Jayne is a great home stylist. If you google her her website comes up.

notrightnow · 30/09/2010 14:45

Willis B once humiliated me by sending me back for a second hairwash, saying my hair was too dirty to cut (it wasn't).

Jo Partidge v. good, in my experience.

(and yes,I think there are lots of us here...)

Yangymac, how much does your hairdress charge for cut and colour? Would love to get someone to come to me!

carciofi · 30/09/2010 15:25

Oooh, hello neighbours! I think I'm a bit more Denmark Hill than you lot, though.

Thanks again for the tips. I think I'll try Jo Partridge first.

The other annoying thing about GMs was that they charged me £50 more than the quoted price (too chicken to question it). £150 for a cut, semi-permanent and a few (very few) parted highlights.

They also gave my son a pudding bowl haircut. By the time I realised what she was doing, it was too late (half way through). So he has a lovely, layered haircut at the back and sides and an utterly bizarre straight and very short fringe. Poor mite.
