Find me a gorgeous red dress please.

I am reluctantly sending this beautiful beautiful dress back because it shows my arse every time I even think about bending over.

Can you find me something to replace it? I want a classic I can wear for years to come.

I'm 5ft 1, size 10 below but big norks (34G). I'd like something fitted and a bit but not overtly sexy.

Ideally I'd spend less than £200 but I'm prepared to pay a bit more for something perfect.

I prefer the Viv Westwood on that page

Ewe · 28/09/2010 22:01

This is cute but might not work with big norks.

Ted Baker - quite dressy.

Pretty but again high necked.

Overbudget but gorgeous and cheap for Gucci.

DvF 1 and DvF 2

Prada

Depending on your shoulders/frame

I really like the third one.

must pay more attention to posters names, I was going to repost the link on your other thread as a suggestion Grin

Ewe, you are a star. Didn't know about the Flannels website .

I love DvF1 and DvF2, and the Hoss one too although I fear it would make me look lopsided.

The Ted Baker is a bit shiny for me and I'd rather avoid a silk in favour of something a bit more structured.

I'm rather enjoying this now! Grin

I love the flannels website, especially when I am spending someone else's money!

Hmmm, with the Vivienne Westwood I wonder about the A line skirt. It's not quite so chic. Ditto the flared skirt on the (v bargainous) Oasis number.

The Cavalli is a bit too body con for my tum.

P&J Sister I did wonder about myself in case the fabric was the same shade as my lovely lovely dress. I decided I wanted something a bit more structured.

Not sure about the soft suede effect from Karen Millen, or the belt, and the Coast one looks a bit too twee for me with the bow in the centre.

Sorry, am going to be fussy. I want the PERFECT dress!

This might be too casual/day for you but it fitted my similar chest: www.oasis-stores.com/Vita-Dress/Dresses/oasis/fcp-product/3170077236

mippy · 29/09/2010 12:55

Whoops, sorry, it's been linked! Anyway, 20% off at Oasis if you get the current Glamour, apparently. It's jersey and fits like a Joan Holloway cocktail dress.

woopsidaisy · 29/09/2010 17:40

I adore this dress.

c0rns1lk · 29/09/2010 17:48

I love that anglmania dress. Anyone got a code for net-a-porter?

OooohWhatIfItHurts · 29/09/2010 21:09

Thank you all ladies.

Tethers you amaze me as ever with your incredibly rapid response. The DvFs are the closest to what I'm after and actually am leaning towards the DvF 1 from Ewe's original link.

Might order that one while it is still in the sale then if it doesn't work try the VW as a fall back.

Fellatio I tend to buy all my work clothes from Hobbs/LKB so would prefer to go somewhere else to make it feel a bit less familiar.
