Have just bought this in the blue/white print. Love it!! It's the most flattering shape for my curves, shows off the girls and is a wee bit kitsch and retro like me Grin.

Now my problem is leg/foot wear for nights out.

I wouldn't be seen dead in the blue tight/brown brogue combo the model is rocking.

Since it's A/W bare legs are presumably a no.

Would blue shoes be too matchy matchy?

How about going for a clash? I have raspberry pink patent dolly shoes?

Eeek so many questions!! Any help will be leapt upon!!

Sorry looked earlier and then forgot to post!

Erm - hard to say tbh. Maybe grey or a sort of cobalt or petrol colour tights and pink shoes? No to bare legs.

I love the dress...very cute!

If it was me, I think I would let the dress do the talking and wear grey opaque tights and grey ankle boots. How long is the dress on you?

tulpe · 28/09/2010 22:35

definitely go muted on the tights and shoes/boots because you definitely want that gorgeous dress to be the centre piece :)

notyummy · 28/09/2010 22:41

I would wear dark grey/almost blue tights and grey shoe boots.

could look funky

i have these.

Keeping the legs slightly darker than the boots/dress will

a. be more flattering on your pins

b. look less matchy matchy

Thank your for the dress love and the suggestions Smile.

However.....I am just not a shoeboot/ankle boot person. I hate anything obviously trendy and am kinda happy with the retro/pin-up look. Plus I'm only 5'4 so don't want to cut off my cankles ankles!!

Eeek this is difficult!

I think white/cream patterned like these for daytime and maybe these for evening?

I like the sound of pink patent mary-jane, very cute!
