Tea at Fortnum & Mason...

I have no idea what to wear, no clue!
I have a few dresses but no smart trouser/top combinations.

I would like to buy something new, about £100 budget max for outfit and shoes, unless I find shoes in my wardrobe to match the outfit Smile

Please help!

You can wear anything you like - I wouldn't buy a new outfit specially for tea at Fortnum & Mason, it isn't that special! Just a nice place to go.

Wear a dress you like.

I kind of agree ... we went there once with 11 month old DS and I probably wore jeans. The tea and scones ... I still drool when I think of them!!

Ah that's good then, I was probably building it up as some fancy affair as it's the Mother-in-laws 60th birthday with champagne etc.

Nice jeans it might be then!

I want tea at Fortnums! Is it hideously expensive?

Ah BS but just because I wore jeans doesn't mean they were quite right Grin. If it's your MIL's 60th, go for the nice dress like Bonsoir suggested - that way you'll feel dressed up for a special occasion and MIL will feel like you've really made an effort. Enjoy!

I think it's going to be about £160 for 4 of us with champagne, hmmm thinking about it I have loads of dresses I could wear, better not splurge on new outfit, christmas is coming!
