makeup help for novice??

Hi, I was wondering if there is anyone out there who could give me tips on what colours to wear etc. I would like help with a natural daytime look and for a night out look. The only time I wear makeup is when we go out and that's not often. My colourings are dark brown hair, blue grey eyes that are quite large and english rose complexion. Any tips on what to buy will be great as well. Oh and I am on a tight budget.

Look at panacea81 -Lauren Luke- on YouTube. She does great tutorial videos.
She uses all different make ups from high St stuff like Barry M and Loreal to Chanel etc. She might give you some ideas?

Thanks, I mumsnet from my phone so will have a look at them when I go to the inlaws next. Found some sites that have make up cheap so going to get a few bits to experiment with.
