I am thinking that having a denim skirt in my wardrobe will provide an alternative to the default "jeans" setting on days when I can't be bothered.
I am 39, 5'6" tall but short of leg. THis means that most knee length/just above knee skirts look a bit frumpy and make my legs look stumpy. I quite fancy a mid-thigh number, rather than a belt. Am I conning myself that this will look okay? Or am I straying into mutton territory?
Was thinking of teaming with:
opaques (particularly some lovely plum & grey knit ones I picked up in TK Maxx yesterday),
black mid-calf biker boots or Toast brown riding boots
chunky knit/layered tees
What does the MN jury think?
