Have just ordered a pair of these but am now having a crisis of confidence - I've been a jeans-over-boots woman for ever and am not naturally stylish, so could do with advice from you wise lot please!

Oooh they are gorgeous Envy

DaisySteiner · 29/09/2010 18:55

Hmm, calf width. I'm not really sure tbh - they're snug on me and I think my calves are fairly average. Dr Martens website has free delivery and free returns though, so nothing to lose by ordering them to see (then returning them and getting them cheaper from Amazon Grin)

read reviews on amazon, say v.narrow...thats me out Sad

BikeRunSki · 29/09/2010 21:39

I have massive calves (17.6" or 44 cm) and the size 8s fit me fine. Hence the reason why I have so many, they are generally the only boots I can get that fit.

nicolamumof3 · 29/09/2010 21:49

i meant narrow on the foot?

DaisySteiner · 29/09/2010 22:01

I have really broad feet and they were fine.

I also have very wide feet and they are fine. I saw that review on Amazon ( I have reviewed them on Amazon too) and have no idea where they get the idea that they are narrow from! That reveiwer must have ENORMOUS feet!

PlanetEarth · 29/09/2010 22:24

Love them, tried them on some time ago, didn't buy... along with all the other DM boots I've tried on in recent years, the heels are really wide and my feet slip out of them at the heel. Annoying! (Next size down always too short).

BadgersArse · 30/09/2010 08:43

gopping

sparkle1977 · 30/09/2010 10:47

Love them!! In fact I may be tempted to order some myself as I'm on the lookout for a pair of boots at the moment.

Do they have shops anywhere where you can try them on or is it online only ?

greedygoose · 30/09/2010 10:56

I have worn these to death over last 2 years and still going strong. I love them so comfortable and am considering another colour now!

theslumbertaker · 30/09/2010 11:25

have had this exact pair for around 4 years - still in great shape. go well with skirts/leggings/jeans. very comfy. i have wide feet and they are fine. i want another pair...

Hullygully · 30/09/2010 11:27

BikeRunSki · 30/09/2010 18:24

Schuu stock them.

fillybuster · 30/09/2010 19:31

Love them....very tempted by the cherry red, even though the only thing I really need right now are some smartish black boots...

strongblackcoffee · 30/09/2010 19:55

I've coveted these boots (cherry red) since last winter, but my feet are an enormous size 9 Sad

If anyone knows where I can get DMs in a size 9 please tell me IMMEDIATELY!!!

CountessVonKnackerstein · 30/09/2010 20:03

They are yummy.
I have daft toes though - "index finger" toes are longer than the rest so there needs to be a bit of room in the toe area!

Dancergirl · 30/09/2010 22:08

I really like them! And I'm also used to wearing jeans over boots. I'm tempted to get a pair. How high up the leg do they come? And does anyone know which shops stock them? Don't fancy sending a heavy pair of boots back in the post if they don't fit.

memoo · 30/09/2010 22:09

I love those boots!!

What is the fit like on the calf?

sometimes struggle to fasten boots if the fit it too slim on the calf

DaisySteiner · 30/09/2010 22:25

They're mid-calf fitting and fairly generous on the calf I think. Dancergirl - Dr Martens does free returns.
