Tired of shivering in the park,at the school gates...and now at rugby on Saturday mornings. Thinking of getting this, anyone have one? Are they really warm? Prone to tearing? Also I am a 32G,I know puffy jackets are usually a no-no,but I NEED to be warm? Thoughts?

Hmmmm.......I have G-size norks too and personally I wouldn't wear that jacket. I'm a size 20 too though so would look enormous in anything that padded Blush

Hope someone with a bit of knowledge can help. I'll watch with interest for some ideas too.

I bought this last year, they did it in navy then, and it is brilliant, (I am an 18 with 38G norks to)

It is really warm, and hood is brill.

this is insulated and more flattering, plus the longer length would be more practical.

or this because it is longer.

How tall are you? If you have a bit of height you will probably look fine - they are not slimming but do the job!

I have 30G norks and bought this for warmth and waterproof walk to school in all weathers - it feels like an electric blanket. I don't think it is very flattering, but is more flattering on me than a down coat would be and is longer (thigh length on me).

i have had my nf jacket like the one you linked to for about 15 years!!! it still looks like new, it comes out every winter....i used to work nights outdoors, and it always kept me toasty (along with thermals, hat, scarf!!)

i have massive boobs...30j Shock and it is fine...maybe not the most flattering thing to wear, but imo, it a classic item....you see loads of people wearing them, from shoppers around town, to slebs wrapped up on film sets!

i love my portable duvet!

I tried that one on.
It was lovely and warm and light but thought I would get more wear from a longer length one - like the metropolis or greenland(waterproof).

I looked for something with the same fill level (600 or something) for warmth online and
ended up getting something a bit longer than this as I can't stand having cold legs.
It was February though so the choice was limited as the summer stock was in!

Not quite a North Face but cosier all over.

32F here.

Hi I just bought The Northface Arctic Parka-
550 downfill ,waterproof and breathable.I love it!
The hood has a zip off fur bit and the hood fits really well to keep the wind out.Pricey but will last years hopefully.
