Recommendations for good mascara

Hi. I don't wear much make up usually but fancy trying some mascara. Can anyone please recommend a good one? The lady sitting opposite me on the train seemed to have a mascara with a bent head on it (like she had sat on it) which I think must help with the application. Anyone got a favourite mascara? Thanks

Have a look here. It is waterproof but really easy to remove.

Mac...just found one I thought I'd lost and wow it's so much better than my last cheap one!! It doesn't have a curved brush but it thickens my lashes and really makes them stand out...if that's what your're looking for.

Mac - are there different types of mascara that they do?

I have a Chanel one that is very good , the best I have ever bought.

Another one for Blinc here - it's bloody brilliant.

Lancome Hypnose is the best mascara I have ever used, it doesn't dry out so you can layer it as much as you need to and is glossy and lovely. I have very short and stumpy lashes and this makes my lashes look fab.

It comes in a waterproof and volume version to and is great for sensitive eyes, is £20.

If you are on a much lower budget try Max Factor False Lash Effect, also very good but takes a bit more lash building to get the right look. I think is about £8.

I swear by Max Factor Masterpiece. It's excellent for a not-over-the-top look. Mascara seems to be a very personal thing - you need to try a few before you find the one you love.
