Are rolled up jeans with boots stylish?

I love boots but have a pair that are a bit too wide for my calves. So if I wear them with skinny jeans, they look a bit welly-bootish.

So I wondered, what about the slightly rolled up jean look with boots? Is this at all stylish? (I feel very out of touch with fashion - I don't mind that much, but don't want to do something laughable).

I do this but I'm never quite sure it's quite right - I wish one of these stylish ones would reply.

I think it look a bit odd tbh!

think it is fine with a heeled hiking ankle boot type thing, otherwise no, agree with dexter that it doesn't look quite right

I always think of ABBA when I see this. I'm not particularly stylish though!

Abba! Well, maybe that's why it appeals to me. I am a 70s child.

It's usually quite easy for a cobbler to take your boots in for you. Worth asking a cobbler in your area - it shouldn't be expensive and then you can wear your boots how you like. I have thinner than average calves and have done this.

So..boots, if worn with trousers - best with skinny jeans? Jeans inside boots, that is.
