and they fell off between my starter and main course! (Luckily was only out with DH and we had consumed a lot of wine by then and thought it was hysterical)

Where did I go wrong? I put them on after my makeup, should I have put them on before eyemakeup then? Or should I put more glue on? (They were one of those Girls Aloud ones if that helps)

Have DH's best friends wedding next Sat and would like to wear then but would be mortified if they fell off then! And I don't have time to get someone else to apply them for me as have to drive to London in the morning

Mine stay on but I use far too much glue and have to conceal this reality with lots of shadow and liner and mascara. I do makeup first then lashes then more make up. You perhaps ought to have some professionally applied for the big 'do'. When I had mine done by a beauty therapist they stayed on for 2 nights. You can also have permanent lashes for lots of money - about £70 as I recall.

I put them on before makeup, lots of glue and eyeliner to conceal the glue.

Can't really afford semi permanent ones hobbgoblin, but thanks for the tips.

Have just seen this applicator and this one

Has anyone tried these?

Never used applicators, I feel like they'd complicate things more.

I always use Eylure brand lashes, they seem to stay on best.

Kaloki - how do you get them to stick v. close to the lashline? I feel I'm all fingers and thumbs when I do it!

I tried them once, wasn't expecting the glue to be black, and I looked like I had been in a fight with a tube of mascara by the time they were on! How the hell do you do it neatly?

Just reading up and Ardell ones seem popular but are made from human hair/lashes - which makes me feel a bit ill tbh... don't know why...
